Who Are We?

Twenty one years ago, a group of parents in the Elk Grove area got together to form a theater company that produced quality shows that enhance performers' lives without overtaking them. We have developed a reputation for quality performances and only choose theater pieces which are wholesome and uplifting. New members have joined us and we are still going strong today!

All Volunteer Run

We are a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization and produce each play run completely by volunteers. Each family volunteers to help make the show a success! Our audition form includes a place for parents to specify which volunteer work they wish to perform. We appreciate the ways parents use their talents or develop talents to contribute to our organization.  Parent involvement is the key to success in our organization.

This organization is for those parents and performers that desire a quality theater experience to enhance their life (not overtake it).

What Is The Time Commitment?

We are a part-time theater organization.  No one is expected or encouraged to devote full time efforts. This organization is for those parents and performers that desire a quality theater experience to enhance their life (not overtake it).  But it is an experience for the whole family! We will have twice weekly rehearsals until we start tech rehearsals. Prepare yourself for tech. rehearsals and show weeks — it will be an exciting but time consuming few weeks!

One Season Each Year

We perform one set of shows each year. Our Jr. Cast (ages 7-13) performs one show, often with a double cast (2 groups of children performing the same play on different nights). Our Sr. Cast (ages 12-18) performs a longer show. 12-13 yr old performers can choose which cast is a better fit for them. During the shows, Jr. cast performs first each night, followed by intermission and then the Sr. Cast show.  We sometimes perform a second show in the Spring.

How Do We Get Involved?

Join us for our 2025 Spring Auditions on March 10th. Our organization thrives because each family contributes to make the show a success.

Is it Expensive?

One of EGMTC's founding principles was to provide a quality theater experience at an affordable price.  Performer fees for the Spring Show are $199 for the season. Performers are required to provide a certain type of shoes and possibly basic clothing items like specific underclothes or black pants, white shirt, etc.

Our Executive Board

EGMTC is run by an executive board.

EGMTC's President is Angee Wangsgard with Board Members: Katie Sessions, Kate Nuttall, Sarah Clift and Hilary Stevenson
